CLARICE CLIFF, a superb pair of “AUTUMN CROCUS” shape 331, squat candlesticks both of which are perfect and are also really early, ‘first period’ examples, beautifully and generously decorated with almost continuous flower-heads. They both carry the rare “green” hand-painted back-stamp, dating them to around 1926-1929 and possibly painted by the formidable ‘original’ CROCUS girl, the late Ethel Barrow.

In wonderful condition with no chips or cracks or repairs, beautifully painted, there’s just a couple of minor paint flecks as pictured.

Such excellent examples don’t come up very often and this sublime pair will make a wonderful gift or will enhance any collection.
