CLARICE CLIFF, “AUTUMN CROCUS”, one of the very early pieces, dating from 1926 with the wonderful and huge continuous Crocus flowerhead running decoration all round the 8” diameter bowl.

The green hand-painted Crocus and the early huge ‘rubber stamp’ marks make this one of the very pieces to be sold.

It has been through the wars and has been heavily repaired but amazingly still ‘rings’ when you ‘ping’ it.......I have pictured the interior for you to see the restoration.

It can still be used and is an amazing example of this superb early paintwork by the likes of the late and great Ethel Barrow, the “original” Crocus girl.
