CLARICE CLIFF, a truly excellent and early example of one of the first ‘Fantasque’ abstract designs, originally known as ‘Picasso Fruit’ now referred to as “Melons”.
Dating from September 1930, the paintwork on this Art Deco shaped 5” octagonal plate is excellent, and so reminiscent of the early work produced by Clarice and her team of paintresses.
No chips, cracks or repairs...this is a really super piece.
